There are many ways to collect food in Don't Starve Together but one of the easiest and least dangerous is to start a farm. Developers introduced farming via the Reap What You Sow update, giving players new and better ways to create sustainable food sources to hopefully last them through the Winter and allow them to focus on other aspects of survival. But those that want a farm will need some specific tools, like the Garden Hoe. Here's how players can craft their own and what it does.
The Garden Hoe is one of the most important aspects of creating usable farmland in Don't Starve Together. Players that want to get their hands on one will first need to go through the process of creating a Science Machine. This can be a breeze, or supremely frustrating, depending on where players spawn and what their surroundings look like. In order to build a Science Machine, survivors will need to find four Logs, four Rocks, and one Gold Nugget. Logs and Rocks are pretty commonplace, but the Gold Nugget will need to be mined for (or luckily found) by striking a boulder with a vein through the side of it.
