The final sound recording for the Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared TV series has just been completed, according to a recent Instagram post from series co-creator Becky Sloan. The show, based on Sloan and Joseph Pelling’s cult YouTube horror series of the same name, was announced in 2019, but updates have been few and far between since. The original webseries is a dark parody of children’s TV shows, reminiscent of both Sesame Street and the work of David Lynch. Now, a post on Sloan’s Instagram account has revealed that the Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared TV series has recently finished its final sound recording. The post also reveals that the series will consist of six episodes, but no release date was announced. It features a video of Duck voice actor Baker Terry recording an apparently improvised nonsense monologue about a pirate king and two goblins. The full post is viewable below.
