WhatsApp has been keen on introducing new features to make the platform more user friendly. The instant messaging app is reportedly testing a new feature that will allow users to send a media file of upto 2 GB. As of now WhatsApp users can share media files of upto 100MB size only. The screenshot of the new feature shared by WABetaInfo, shows WhatsApp’s pop up notification that says “you can send media files of upto 2 GB”. However, this is only available in Argentina for now and it is limited to a certain number of beta testers. In fact, it's yet to be confirmed if WhatsApp is planning to roll out the same feature to more people in the future or not. WhatsApp may roll back the changes by restoring the previous limit after the testing.
Meanwhile WhatsApp recently added another useful feature for its users - emoji shortcuts. Users can now simply type a colon followed by a keyword to find their preferred emoji quickly and share them during their conversations. While this feature was available for WhatsApp Web/Desktop only, it is now available for the Windows platform also. All you need to do is download the latest app update from the Microsoft store. According to WABetainfo, users need not wait for activation as it's already enabled for all.
