Marvel Studios' latest Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer shows Scarlet Witch attacking the Illuminati base. Elizabeth Olsen returns to the MCU after the events of WandaVision, and this time, she emerges more powerful than ever before. Unfortunately for Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), instead of an ally, it seems like Wanda Maximoff (or variants of her) will bring him more problems in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The upcoming MCU film marks director Sam Raimi's return to the Marvel sandbox after wrapping up Tobey Maguire's Sony Spider-Man trilogy in the late 2000s. His involvement came after original filmmaker Scott Derrickson's exit from the movie due to creative differences. Even before that, however, Olsen's Wanda has already been part ofDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness narrative. It's uncertain how much of her story changed since the director switch but based on what's been revealed through marketing, she seems to be fully embracing her Scarlet Witch persona.
