In a brand new interview for his various body of works, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Chiwetel Ejiofor partially reacted to the rumor of John Krasinski finally portraying Fantastic Four leader Reed Richards in the next Marvel blockbuster. Initially announced at the D23 conference in 2019 alongside many other new projects, the Doctor Strange sequel faced several delays over the next three years after originally being projected for a May 2021 release. Currently, the film is set to be released in theatres on May 6, 2022.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness follows the titular sorcerer during his sixth outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shortly after his appearance in this year's Spider-Man: No Way Home. He will be seen dealing with an all-new adversary, leading him to team up with both new and familiar faces while traversing into the multiverse, including former Avenger and sorcerer in her own right, Wanda Maximoff. Alongside Ejiofor, the film also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.

In an interview with YouTuber, The Movie Dweeb, Ejiofor spoke about various works, revealing some information about the upcoming blockbuster. The YouTuber played a game to extract small tidbits of information where he would ask about a rumor regarding the forthcoming film's roster. When questioned about John Krasinski appearing as Reed Richards, Ejiofor only made a slight noise in response. Ejiofor's reaction gave nothing away and may say it had a confused undertone.
