A detail in one quick shot in one of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' TV spots links Scarlet Witch to the Eternals. The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues its expansion with Phase 4, which is not only introducing new characters and events but it’s also exploring new concepts, the main one so far being the multiverse. The MCU teased the dangers of it in Loki and gave the audience a taste of the chaos it can unleash in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but its biggest multiverse adventure so far will be Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Set a couple of months after the events ofSpider-Man: No Way Home, in which Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) opened the gates to the multiverse and closed them sometime later by making everyone forget Peter Parker, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will see the Sorcerer dealing with the consequences of this multiversal mess. With the help of old friends – like Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Wong (Benedict Wong) – and new allies, like America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), Strange will travel into the multiverse to face a mysterious new adversary, while also coming across some of his and Scarlet Witch’s variants.
