Does Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have an after-credits scene that sets up any Marvel Cinematic Universe movies? The Doctor Strange sequel will mark the 28th feature film in the MCU, starring Benedict Cumberbatch back in his role as the former neurosurgeon turned Master of the Mystic Arts. Doctor Strange 2 also marks a turning point in the MCU by diving headfirst into the MCU's multiverse after the consequences of its existence were explored in Spider-Man: No Way Home through Strange's spell gone wrong.
A Doctor Strange sequel was announced shortly after the success of the 2016 installment. Since then, Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange became an integral character in the overarching MCU franchise, playing a role in the fight against Thanos through Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Though Scott Derrickson was originally set to return for Doctor Strange 2, Sam Raimi ended up in the director's chair for the highly-anticipated sequel. While embracing the horror side of the mystic arts, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will investigate all aspects of the franchise's alternate universes as a new villain comes to light. While the Doctor Strange sequel will bring back Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Wong (Benedict Wong), and Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), the follow-up will also bring in Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) as key allies. With that said, does Doctor Strange 2 have any post-credits scenes?
