Disney+ has announced that the highly anticipated new Star Wars limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi will hit the streaming service on May 25. There's no word yet on how many episodes total the show will span.
Information on the cast has been released previously, but a new release announcing the debut date confirms that Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie will be joining returning stars Ewan McGregor as the iconic Jedi Master and Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. The release also included a new poster for the series, which you can see below.
According to a synopsis in the release: The show's story «begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat--the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.»
