Disney+'s upcoming Star Wars TV spin-off Ahsoka looks set to commence filming this coming April. First introduced in the 2008 animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars before becoming a lead character of the succeeding TV series, Ahsoka Tano is now a fan favorite of the franchise. As well as appearing in the animated series Rebels and as a voice cameo in The Rise of Skywalker, Darth Vader's former apprentice received her live-action debut in The Mandalorian season 2, played by Rosario Dawson, who reprised the role again for The Book of Boba Fett. TheAhsoka mini-series was confirmed by Disney in December 2020 and will see Dawson once more as the Togrutan Jedi.
Following on from the immense success of The Mandalorian, Disney has green-lit a host of live-action TV series set within the Star Wars universe. From the long-anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi starring Ewan McGregor, to Rogue One prequel Andor, the science-fantasy franchise looks to grow ever larger over the coming years, with 2022 set to be an extremely good year in particular for Star Wars fans. However, although it has been confirmed that Dawson will be joined by Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker, there have been few revelations regarding exactly what the titular Jedi will be getting up to in Ahsoka or when fans can expect to see her in action.

Now, it appears that production on the series will be getting underway much sooner than many had previously anticipated. As reported in Heroic Hollywood, Production Weekly appears to confirm that Ahsoka will in fact begin shooting sometime within the next two or three months.
