Described as a mesmerizing life-simulation adventure game, Disney Dreamlight Valley, announced earlier this year, looks like a cross between Animal Crossing, Kingdom Hearts, and The Sims. A full release of Disney Dreamlight Valley comes next year, but fortunately for Disney fans, the game is getting an early access release this year on Nintendo Switch.
Disney revealed Dreamlight Valley in April of 2022 with a promise of a full release on PC and consoles in 2023, and the announcement trailer shows off much of the game's mechanics as well as a lot of the Disney and Pixar characters that will be featured. The game's premise is that Dreamlight Valley was once an idealistic fantasy of a perfect world in which Disney and Pixar characters lived together in harmony, but something called the Forgetting has turned it all into a nightmare, and it is up to the player to fix things by helping the residents recover their lost memories.

The trailer that was revealed on June 28 shows off many of the world's many diverse landscapes, a cast of familiar Disney and Pixar characters, different crafting, building, fishing, and other survival adventure game mechanics, as well as a myriad of other exciting features that are bound to get players excited to dive into Disney Dreamlight Valley. Nintendo Switch owners are particularly lucky as the game releases on the hybrid system as an early access title on September 6 in preparation for the full release in 2023. The trailer does not make it clear whether the early access title will be the exact same version that releases fully next year, but it does seem to be a full game release, just as an early access version.
