Reliance Jio Re 1 prepaid plan has been discontinued. This decision was taken on the Jio cheapest prepaid plan just after a few days of its launch in December, 2021. The telecom operator will not be offering the Re 1 recharge plan anymore. The plan used to offer 100MB of high-speed data for a validity period of 30 days, however, later it was revised to 10MB of high-speed data with a validity of just 1 day.
The telecom operator has introduced the Re 1 prepaid plan for emergencies, but it has been discontinued without any reason being provided. This Jio prepaid recharge plan has been delisted from the My Jio app as well as the website and other recharge apps. It looks like the telecom operator only wanted to check whether customers like such emergency data plans or not.
Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has introduced a new prepaid plan offering 2.5GB of daily data with unlimited calling and other additional benefits. This is the first and the only prepaid plan of Jio that offers 2.5GB of daily data. The plan is priced at ₹2999 and is valid for 365 days. In this tariff, users will get a total of 912.5GB of data, along with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day. Additionally, users will also get a 20% JioMart Maha cashback offer which means users will be getting a 20% cashback in their JioMart wallet during the validity period. These cashbacks can be used for future recharges as well as shopping from JioMart or a Reliance store. Along with this, users will also get a free subscription to JioTV, JioCinema, JioSecurity, and JioCloud.
Notably, subscribers can even use another 365-day prepaid plan from Jio, with a free subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile plan for a year just by paying ₹120 more. This means users will have to pay ₹3119
