The actor who plays Jay Leno in the Hulu series Pam & Tommy has shared the makeup process that created his transformation. Pam & Tommy is based on Amanda Chicago Lewis' 2014 article «Pam and Tommy: The Untold Story of the World's Most Infamous Sex Tape,» which originally ran in Rolling Stone. It follows the marriage of Baywatch star Pamela Anderson to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, and the drama surrounding a sex tape of theirs being one of the first celebrity tapes to ever be released on the Internet.
The series is chock full of performers playing prominent real-life figures from the 1990s. Lily James and Sebastian Stan play Pam and Tommy respectively, with the cast being filled out by Nick Offerman as Uncle Miltie, Seth Rogen as Rand Gauthier, Taylor Schilling as Erica Gauthier, and a featured performance by Mike Seely as Playboy magnate Hugh Hefner. One of the other celebrities portrayed in the series is Jay Leno, played by comedian Adam Ray in a recreation of The Tonight Show that combines the events of several real interviews.

On Instagram, Adam Ray shared a glimpse at the extensive makeup process that allowed him to become Jay Leno. At first glimpse, the actor doesn't look entirely transformed, but as the photos swipe past and reveal the properly lit footage captured by the camera, the resemblance becomes uncanny. The wig and the prosthetic appliances certainly accomplished a lot in bringing the Jay Leno of the 90s back to life. Check out Adam Ray's post below:
