Diablo Immortal has released a new update that brings a fishing minigame to the world of Sanctuary, including a catalog of catchable fish of various rarities. Besides the new leisure activity, Diablo Immortal has also added a handy calendar to help players track activities and events, 36 new legendary items to loot, and a healthy dose of other changes and improvements.
The long-awaited latest addition to Blizzard's action RPG series has been the subject of much discussion since it was released, particularly in regard to its cash shop system, as Diablo Immortal players spent tens of thousands of dollars trying to acquire a single 5-star legendary gem. While these items aren't necessary to enjoy the free-to-play mobile game, it's still an incredible amount of money to spend on video game loot. Regardless, Diablo Immortal has been an overall success, taking home the Best Mobile RPG award from the Pocket Gamer Awards and receiving nominations from Google Play, Apple Store Awards, The Game Awards, and the D.I.C.E. Awards.
