The latest update for Bungie’s Destiny 2 is live, with some much-needed fixes and more than a few quality-of-life features. For example, if you ever wanted to watch the post-Excision cinematics in The Final Shape, there’s a new Epilogue option. It’s now possible to bask in the emotional ending without playing through the activity again.
The update also fixes an exploit that allowed players to obtain twice the number of Exotic class items from Dual Destiny. It also removes Surges from raids and dungeons, buffing the damage of all subclasses and Kinetic damage types in return. Players can now freely use whatever they want in those activities without worrying about matching the Surges.
Perhaps the most underrated change, however, is that of Pathfinder. Ritual Gambit Nodes are now replaced with general nodes, providing PvE or PvP-only paths to rewards. Check out the full patch notes below for more details on other changes. You can also read our review of Destiny 2: The Final Shape here.
