The green element Strand gives players access to abilities to manipulate the Weave, psychic energy that links all beings and minds in the universe.
As fun as Strand can be to use to suspend and sever enemies, players have found that the new grapple ability, which replaces the grenade slot, is more powerful than some thought. Already, fans have used Strand grappling to get around maps much faster either by grabbing enemies, teammates, launched rockets, or catching a ride on super moves like the Titan's Thundercrash. However, one user has found that Strand seemingly unlocks a new skating movement technique, moving much faster than playing normally would allow.

Posting over on the raidsecrets subReddit of Destiny 2, a user named Dazzling-Fortune9986 posted an update to Strand Skating, a technique that lets players zoom across maps at high speeds. The method, outlined in a video by InSaNeGaMeR300, requires the Strand subclass to be unlocked as well as the new sword called Caretaker and a perk on it called Valiant Charge. Using a combination of heavy attack, Strand dive, and jump on any sort of decline will result in the player zooming at high speeds.
