Demon's Souls: How To Defeat The Old Hero
Fromsoftware’s Demon’s Souls, and its subsequent remake on PS5, is full of enemies to defeat, areas to explore, and boss fights to overcome, an experience made even better with the game’s new aesthetic. Indeed, while many bosses in this game are solely tests of skill, some require clever thinking.

The Old Hero is one such enemy. A blind warrior, this boss can be outwitted with stealth, and the use of a specific item. If you go in without thinking this boss can be a real challenge but plan your approach, and he can be easily felled.
The Old Hero is a boss found at the end of the Ritual Path in the Adjudicator Touchstone. Unlike many of the bosses in this Playstation classic, this boss can be overcome with a very specific tactic, specifically the use of the Thief's Ring.
For this fight, you must take your time, make sure your enemy does not see you, and be as sneaky as you can. With this approach, and staying behind the Old Hero, you should be able to overcome this foe.
Old Hero Attacks
Ground Slam
The boss will slam his blade into the ground, dealing serious damage in the process.
Counter: Like many of the attacks in this fight, you must roll away from this attack.
AOE Attack
When the Old Hunter’s HP reaches halfway, he will kneel on the ground and let out a powerful AOE attack
Counter: Run away as soon as the animation begins, this one hurts.
Jump Attack
The Old Hunter will leap into the air and slam his sword into the earth beneath your feet.
Counter: Either roll through or away from this one.
