Deliver Us Mars was just revealed last night at the Future Games Show: Spring Showcase in a brand-new teaser trailer. The trailer showcases a new female protagonist that crashes on Mars, picks up some tools, and then finds a helpful drone that's still in working order. A facility in the distance promises answers to many mysteries, although her drone friend doesn't seem convinced.
Set ten years after the events of Deliver Us The Moon, the game's recently-launched Steam page provides us with a bit more info on what's going on. Responding to a distress call from Mars, the ship Zephyr sets out to investigate and recover the Ark colony ships that have been stolen by a mysterious entity known as the "Outward." Either something then goes terribly wrong or humanity hasn't quite figured out how to make re-entry vehicles as it seems the protagonist's landing on Mars was rough enough to tear off the door and launch much of the drop pod's contents over the red planet's surface.

"Deliver Us Mars is an atmospheric sci-fi adventure taking you on a suspense-fuelled, high-stakes mission to recover the ARK colony ships stolen by the mysterious Outward," reads the game's description.
Although set ten years later, Deliver Us Mars will have "deep connections" between it and Deliver Us The Moon, which followed the exploits of a lone explorer sent to the moon to recover resources that were vital to Earth's energy crisis. Deliver Us Mars will feature new mechanics such as a climbing system that will allow players to explore every corner of Mars. It will also feature ray tracing at launch (for platforms that can handle such technology) and character animations made using motion capture.
