Adam Wingard, director of Godzilla vs. Kong, reveals a follow-up to his cult horror film, The Guest, in the form of an original soundtrack. The Guest premiered in 2014 and stars Dan Stevens (Legion) as a former soldier, David, who shows up to the Peterson family claiming to be the best friend of their late son, Caleb, who he served with. The Petersons invite David to stay with them as he is a connection to Caleb, and all is well until David's harsh nature beneath his polite and charming facade is slowly revealed.
In an interview with Dread Central, Wingard announces that a new follow-up soundtrack, titled The Guest 2: Original Soundtrack, is now digitally available to fans. Wingard notes that the soundtrack of a film is part of how he begins the filmmaking process, and that much thought was put into the 80s-tinged synth-wave soundtrack that dots the original thriller. The Guest 2: Original Soundtrack has titles on each track that are supposed to allude to the story arc for David and the Peterson family.

Wingard relays that a sequel to The Guest is not yet officially written, filmed, or in production, but that he would love to make a sequel one day. For those endlessly curious about the world thatThe Guest creates, listening to The Guest 2 original soundtrack will let them speculate on where the story is going next. Hopefully, this speculation will be met with an actual feature film in the future as well.
The Guest 2: Original Soundtrack is available to stream here.
