Castle Doombad has made a dramatic return! Yes, it’s now out on Android as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay. Created by Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1 on mobile, it’s a tower defense strategy game that originally launched in 2014.
Grumpyface has developed hit titles like of Steven Universe: Attack the Light, Unleash the Light and Teeny Titans. They had actually first decided to drop a Castle Doombad remake. However, they split that project into Free to Slay and Classic for mobile and PC respectively.
Castle Doombad Classic will drop on Nintendo Switch and Steam later this year. It’s a remastered version of the 2014 original with updated content and features. And then there’s also a sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!which is still in the works.
The game lets you embrace your inner evil, laugh maniacally and cause some havoc. You build the most dastardly lair possible while fending off the annoyingly righteous heroes. Unlike the usual games, traps and minions are YOUR weapons.
