Death Stranding Director's Cut Comes To PC In March

Following weeks of rumors and leaks, publisher 505 Games has confirmed its plans to release Death Stranding Director's Cut for PC at the end of March. Leaks regarding the PC version of Death Stranding Director's Cut made the rounds earlier this month, courtesy of an unspecified source with supposed access to a relevant press release.

Sony Interactive Entertainment published Death Stranding's most recent iteration on the PlayStation 5 in September 2021. Most notably, the Director's Cut featured brand-new content in the form of improved combat mechanics, race tracks, and a few additional story missions. The remastered experience from Kojima Productions, of course, came packing more than its fair share of next-gen enhancements to boot, including native 4K visuals in Fidelity Mode, Performance Mode with up to 60 frames per second, 3D audio, and support for DualSense's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Death Stranding Director's Cut on PS5 also featured a Digital Deluxe Edition boasting a digital art book, extra in-game suit colors, and a PSN Avatar Set.

505 Games and Kojima Productions announced Death Stranding Director's Cut will finally migrate to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store this spring on March 30. Those who own the base version can upgrade to the Director's Cut through the in-game storefront for $9.99, the companies shared in a press release. The new iteration will run everyone else $39.99; however, Steam users may find it worthwhile to take advantage of the Lunar Sale which knocks down the base game price by 70 percent.
