Warning! Spoilers ahead for Wolverine #21
In the latest issue of Marvel Comics' Wolverine, Wade Wilson's Deadpool has reintegrated an old piece of classic tech (with some new upgrades). Desperately wanting to be welcomed to the X-Men's island nation of Krakoa and to rejoin X-Force, Wade Wilson has improvised an «audition» of sorts to prove himself worthy in the eyes of Wolverine. While Logan has been less than impressed by Deadpool's attempts thus far, perhaps Wade's new gadgets will give him the edge he needs to show that he can be a valuable asset (despite his more annoying qualities).
While almost every mutant was given the chance to be a part of Krakoa, Deadpool wasn't one of them seeing as how he's technically not a genuine mutant. The X-Men also ran the numbers and concluded that there's a 97% chance Deadpool would burn everything to the ground if they did invite him on a permanent basis. Even so, that didn't stop him from trying all sorts of ways to sneak onto the island (failing every time). Now, Wade believes that helping Wolverine recover his severed hand from the CIA's X-Desk could be Deadpool's ticket back onto X-Force. Wade and Logan have also uncovered a much bigger conspiracy against mutantkind involving robots who look like the X-Men controlled by Danger herself (the living manifestation of the Danger Room).
