Many classic Call of Duty maps have returned over the years as the franchise continues to expand, andCall of Duty: Vanguard has gotten a few from other titles based in World War 2 like Call of Duty: World at War and WW2. Activision Blizzard has confirmed that another fan-favorite map is coming back with Call of Duty: Vanguard in Season 4: Mercenaries of Fortune.
Activision recently confirmed many details about Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 4 which will see the arrival of a popular Call of Duty: WW2 map. Mercenaries of Fortune will bring with it other Vanguard content like new weapons, game modes, operators, and bundles, as well as the restoration of round-based Zombies with Shi No Numa. Beyond the aforementioned WW2 map, Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer fans will also get access to a second map after the Mercenaries of Fortune mid-season update.

Call of Duty: WW2 was the fifth title in the franchise set in the Second World War, but many of the beloved multiplayer maps set in that era come from WW2 or Call of Duty: World at War, as previous titles lacked the console online functionality. Sledgehammer Games crafted several timeless maps with WW2 and the USS Texas battleship is returning in Call of Duty: Vanguard as USS Texas 1945. Because of the timing of Vanguard lining up with the setting of Call of Duty: WW2, much of USS Texas has been slightly altered in this remake, while some smaller details differ.
