A talented Sonic The Hedgehog fan recently channeled the infamous Dr. Eggman in an epic cosplay, complete with a captured Sonic in the mad doctor’s clutches. The evil Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik was introduced in the original Sonic The Hedgehog game in 1991, and he and the Blue Blur have been at odds with each other throughout the various sequels since. Even when the not-so-good doctor isn’t the main threat Sonic and his friends have to face off against, Dr. Eggman is more often than not the one who unleashes danger onto the world.

As one of the only major human characters in the mostly animal-centric Sonic series, Eggman is also a popular inspiration for cosplayers who wish to recreate his signature bald head, chubby build, and unruly mustache — especially after Jim Carrey brought the evil genus to life in the recent live-action Sonic The Hedgehog films. Before that, the notoriously ill-received Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) saw Eggman take on a more realistic appearance that has lent itself well to cosplayers as well — despite being discontinued almost as quickly as it was introduced.
