Even if it isn't much, we finally got another update on the upcoming Deadpool 3. Of course, true to form, the latest update comes in the form of a photo that's more humourous than insightful.
Not much is known about Deadpool 3. Obviously, Ryan Reynolds is slated to star as the titular character, and Shawn Levy, who has previously worked with Reynolds on The Adam Project and Free Guy, has been confirmed as director. Besides that, not much information is known, and this most recent update doesn't add too much.
Secret Invasion Story And Timeline Details Confirmed By Kevin Feige
This most recent update via Twitter confirms some of the film's «brand integrations» (and a returning character?) among other things. Those brand integrations include Mint Mobile, which has Reynolds as its spokesperson. It also has a poster of Wembley, which is a soccer stadium featured in Marvel Comics. That could potentially play a factor in the next film's plot, but who's to say? There also seems to be a pile of what looks like comic books lying around. The setting in the photo also looks like the same one where Deadpool held his auditions for his team of superheroes, the X-Force, in the previous installment.
"Deadpool 3 update: We’ve nailed down brand integrations. Story, character, and script next!" reads the post as it displays fan-favorite Peter from the previous film's squad X-Force. That should at the very least confirm that Peter will be returning for the franchise's next installment, and may very well imply that we may see new additions to the X-Force. Hopefully, they don't all die on the team's first mission like most of the previous members did.
It may not even be the long layoff that is keeping the fans' interest in what's next for Deadpool.
