DC League Of Super Pets Teaches You How To Draw Krypto, And Mine Wasn't Terrible
DC League of Super Pets is now available to own and watch from the comfort of your own home, and with it comes a bunch of special features. One of the more interesting ones in this release teaches you how to draw the star of the movie Krypto, Superman's dog.
DC League of Super Pets animation supervisor Dave Burgess hosts the special feature titled «How to Draw Krypto,» where he takes viewers step-by-step to draw Superman's dog. As a person with very little artistic ability--although I do like painting miniatures--I figured this would be the perfect time to see how easy it is to draw Krypto.
Burgess takes you through each process in order to bring the dog to life from basic outline sketching, to drawing Kypto, and then filling it in with color. While I'm personally no art connoisseur, the final product didn't come out as bad as I thought it would.
Outside of drawing one in Photoshop--which Burgess did as well--I also tried the old fashion method of a pencil on paper. Sure, it doesn't look exactly like the one the artist drew, but at least the one I drew is decipherable. The pencil on paper one, that's a different story.
The home release of DC League of Super Pets features plenty of special features, all of which are available on Movies Anywhere. Purchasing the movie through a digital retailer connected to Movies Anywhere also means you'll get over 10 minutes of deleted scenes which are exclusive to the site, as long as you buy the movie before September 23. Other special features include behind-the-scenes features on the making of the movie and the many, many Easter eggs hidden throughout the film.
