With the potential of a Midnight Sons team-up lurking on the horizon, the MCU would be best-served establishing Daredevil as the team’s leader. The franchise has been dabbling in the world of the supernatural with projects like Moon Knight and Blade, opening the door for characters and story elements that would have previously been impossible to incorporate. The stage is set for the Midnight Sons’ introduction, but should the franchise choose to bring them into the fold, putting Daredevil in charge of the group would give the project its best chance at success.
The Midnight Sons are a team of Marvel’s darker heroes, juxtaposing the Avengers in both tone and method. The group was formed by Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch after learning that Lilith, The Mother of All Demons, was to be resurrected. The original members of the Midnight Sons team consisted of the Ghost Riders (Blaze and Ketch), the Nightstalkers (Blade, Frank Drake, and Hannibal King), the Darkhold Redeemers (Sam Buchanan, Victoria Montesi, and Louise Hastings), and Morbius, The Living Vampire, as well as eventually seeing the likes of the Punisher, Moon Knight, and Doctor Strange.

Daredevil has never been an official member of the Midnight Sons, but he would certainly be a good fit for the team should they be brought into the MCU. Although he is a devoutly religious character, Daredevil’s methods often exceed what would likely be acceptable to most of the Avengers. His brutal and bloody aesthetic is in keeping with that of antiheroes like Blade, both of whom have contributed some of the best action sequences in Marvel’s history.
