Cyberpunk 2077 is a game full of choices, and the first of many begins in the character creation. Cyberpunk 2077 offers three distinct choices on V's origins. It's up to the player to decide what sort of backstory their character will have. This does impact the gameplay to a degree. With that being said, which is the best choice?
By picking one of the three life paths, the prologue and opening of the game will be vastly different. It will also impact V's conversations later on and add a little flavor to the neon-lit Night City. V can start life as a Corpo, a Nomad, or a Street Kid.

The Corpo commands respect and is well-acquainted with accumulating vast amounts of money and power. The Corpo life path will place V in the heart of Night City's business district. Thanks to their years of dealing with the 1%, a Corpo V will have a little more to say when dealing with a true peer. They'll also have a bit more disdain for people not of their caliber and the Nomads in general.
The Nomads are a collective of clans that live outside of Night City in the deserts referred to as The Badlands. They are fiercely loyal to one another and no one else. Typically taking on transport missions, Nomads are heavily relied upon for acquiring and moving product of all shapes and sizes. However, within Night City proper, Nomads are typically looked down upon.
Growing up in the harsh Night City streets, the Street Kid possesses encyclopedic knowledge about the city, its inhabitants, the gangs, and dealing with «badges.» Thanks to their street smarts and multiple connections, the Street Kid can handle anything Night City throws their way.
