CD Projekt Red Says There Are "No Plans" To Add The Metro To Cyberpunk 2077
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that it has "no plans" to put the metro in Cyberpunk 2077.
As most big releases do, Cyberpunk 2077 has a ton of cut content that didn't make it into the final game. One of the most egregious examples of this is the Night City metro, which was actually the first thing we saw during the game's reveal trailer. Despite being featured front and centre in that trailer, it's nowhere to be seen in the final game, save for a few easter eggs here and there.

That hasn't stopped players from hoping that CD Projekt Red might add it through an update, a theory that gained more traction after an in-game website claimed that the Metro domain was "under construction". Although this seems like good news, a CD Projekt Red employee has confirmed that it's nothing more than an easter egg.
CDPR's global community director Marcin Momot saw the post on Twitter and said, "Sorry to be the buzz killer but that’s not it. There are no plans to add metro to the game". After being thanked for his honesty, Momot said, "No problem. Again, I know this might not be the best news but we want to be transparent and just say it like it is."
Considering that the metro system was left out of the initial release of the game, it probably comes as no surprise to see that CD Projekt Red isn't planning on adding it back in anytime soon. Although it's a shame to see it left on the cutting room floor, at least CDPR has been upfront about it.
