Following the recent Cyberpunk 2077 current-gen upgrade, CD Projekt Red has confirmed it is "looking into" the option of raising the framerate cap on Xbox Series S. There are no promises yet, but it's an often requested feature from the console's players and the studio is listening.
CDPR launched the major Cyberpunk 2077 update, which introduces enhanced visuals across PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S just days ago. The update also brings a bunch of other long-awaited improvements like revamped enemy and crowd AI, better driving physics, and additional customization options. While the recent patch is not what you call a rescue, players welcomed another notable step forward for the game. However, there are still lots of wanted features missing.

Many Series S owners have been upset there's only Performance mode available in Cyberpunk 2077 on their console. It provides 30 FPS at 1440p resolution and contains no ray-tracing, which is a little disappointing. But CDPR has made it known that the studio is listening to fan feedback with the idea to deliver further technical improvements.
The studio's community director Marcin Momot addressed the issue on the official company forums. He confirmed the team is "looking into the possibility" of introducing the increased framerate on Xbox Series S, but that he doesn't have any particular details to share at the moment. Right now, the team is investigating whether such options will be possible at all.
