Cyberpunk 2077’s next-gen update is finally here, developer CD Projekt Red announced Tuesday. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X-optimized versions of the sci-fi action-RPG are now available as part of the new patch 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077, which also includes updates for the existing versions of the game on Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
During a livestream on Tuesday, CD Projekt Red developers unveiled first footage of Cyberpunk 2077 running on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and detailed high-level changes to the game. The developer also released more extensive patch notes for the game’s new patch (available below), but noted that not everything contained in patch 1.5 was listed. Players will notice more changes in the game itself, CD Projekt Red said.
CD Projekt Red also released a free, limited-time trial version of the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Cyberpunk 2077. That free trial will be available to download and play until March 15, and players will have the option of carrying over their progress to the full version of the game.
