While Cyberpunk 2077's Update 1.5 launched with a host of new bells and whistles, it lacks the ability to transfer Trophies between the PS4 and PS5 versions; fortunately, developer CD Projekt Red has promised to investigate a possible solution. CDPR deployed Update 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 yesterday, February 15, unleashing a slew of new features on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Notably, the free Cyberpunk 2077 patch boasts several extras, including additional apartments for V, new weapons, and a hairdressing mirror. Those who dive into the update should also notice adjustments to the gameplay, loot systems, and in-game economy. The new graphics modes and ray-traced local light shadows serve as a boon for visual quality, as well. And, surprisingly, carrying save data between last-gen and current-gen has proven a breeze that works automatically. Many a Trophy Hunter on PS5, however, expressed dismay at one piece of news — Trophies earned on the PS4 version do not transfer to the PS5 build. In a post outlining Cyberpunk 2077's new and improved features, CD Projekt Red said Trophy transfers weren't activated because the PS5 iteration counts as a new SKU. Cyberpunk 2077 players on PS5 can breathe a little easier now. A write-up dedicated to issues CD Projekt Red is currently investigating notes the studio plans to look into the much-requested "PS4/PS5 Trophies Transfer." Still, users should keep their expectations in check for the time being.
