When the next Cult of the Lamb update was revealed to be called Sins of the Flesh, you can imagine where the playerbases' minds went. Naughty, naughty places indeed. It's easy to see why too - the image that was shared alongside the announcement featured cult members looking all nakey, aside from a strategically placed leaf for modesty. I mean, just look at it yourself.
Over the past few days, fans had taken to calling it "the sex update." The official Cult of the Lamb account didn't exactly shoot the idea down either, leading some fans to believe that this will indeed be a sex update. But now, it doesn't seem that it will be as raunchy as we first believed.

"Never thought we would be in the news for NOT making Cult of the Lamb a porn game...", reads a new post from the Cult of the Lamb team. "The universe is wild."
This comes after PC Gamer shared a response from a community manager for developer Massive Monster. Over on Steam, they reassured fans that the update "hopefully" won't change the game's age rating, as they're trying to keep it within the confines of what they already have, which is a PEGI 12, or a Teen ESRB rating. So, not the kind of rating that would permit a bunch of sex.
"Don't worry, the 'sex update' is more of a meme in the community," says the community manager. "The age rating hopefully won't change after this update, as we made sure content adheres to guidelines. Obviously everyone is different but I doubt you won't be able to play in front of your kids if you do already!"
