Creed 3 Rounds Out Supporting Cast With Four New Actors
Creed III has cast four more actors to fill out its supporting cast: Selenis Leyva, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Spencer Moore II, and Mila Davis-Kent. The ninth entry in the Rocky franchise sees Michael B. Jordan returning as Adonis «Donnie» Creed and marks the actor's first time stepping behind the camera to make his directorial debut. Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Wood Harris, and boxer Florian Munteanu will all be reprising their roles from the previous Creed films, with Sylvester Stallone notably absent from the cast list for the first time in the franchise's history, leading to speculation that Rocky could be killed off.
Variety reports on the new additions, with Leyva perhaps the most recognizable of the bunch, having played the no-nonsense Gloria Mendoza on all 6 seasons of Orange is the New Black as well as appearing on the Disney+ original series Diary of a Future President. Mixson first received recognition dancing and rapping on the Steve Harvey-hosted competition show Little Big Shots as a 7-year old, while Moore is known for his turns on the underseen A.P. Bio, CW's All American, and HBO's We Are Who We Are. Davis-Kent is a 9-year old newcomer cast from a nationwide call for deaf child actors and will play Donnie and Bianca's daughter.

With the addition of several younger actors in Mixson and Moore, it's possible Creed could take on a mentor/trainer role himself to younger boxers. Also with Jonathan Majors cast as Creed's rival, the series has its first bonafide actor facing off against Donnie, which could mean a more multi-dimensional character for one of the series' antagonists.
