A new foodie adventure from the makers of the Cook, Serve, Delicious! series is on the way. Cook Serve Forever is a new cooking adventure from Vertigo Gaming, launching sometime next year.
Revealed today, Cook Serve Forever has some elements of the CSD franchise in it. But on the Steam page, the creators describe it as a new IP. While it’s still about cooking up some good food, there looks to be a few ways the new adventure sets itself apart.
In the newsletter for today’s announcement, Vertigo says Cook Server Forever will stand apart from the Cook, Serve, Delicious! series in both gameplay and scope. It certainly seems like a big adventure—the Steam page shows screenshots of visual novel-style story sections, and it’s set to have full voice acting. Of course, don’t forget the food; Vertigo says there will be hundreds of new ingredients and recipes. The entire campaign can also be played in co-op.
I like both the virtual and real culinary arts, so this looks pretty interesting. 2023 is still a ways away though.
While the next game is a ways away, Vertigo Gaming is also hosting a sale on its Cook, Serve, Delicious! games today. They’re all pretty discounted on Steam, including a full trilogy collection that’s significantly marked down.
While trying to keep up with the lunch rush can sometimes make you feel like an idiot sandwich, the CSD games have always had a cool approach to the world of food. From restaurants to food trucks, and plenty of bizarre takes on the world outside, it’ll be interesting to see where this futuristic world of Cook Serve Forever goes.
We’ll see how the dish comes out for Cook Serve Forever in 2023. For now, you can wishlist it on Steam here.
