There are dozens of Luminaries scattered throughout the world of Contrast. While you only need a handful to complete the game, in most cases it's easiest to have them ahead of time instead of searching when you need them. There is no achievement for collecting all Luminaries, but getting them all is still an impressive feat.

Some Luminaries are in plain sight, and others are well-hidden. Some are easy to see but difficult to reach. We've found all of these sneaky glow-globes, and with this guide, you'll be able to as well.
After Didi leaves the alley under her bedroom window, you'll reach the apartment on the other side - the first Luminary in the game is here, and it's impossible to miss. Just walk through the door and Dawn will collect it on the way.
When you first reach the street leading to the Ghost Note, look to your left. Near a bicycle and a trash can are shadows you can climb. Ride the gear to the right side and wait for the platform to carry you over the streetlight. Jump to the balcony and shift out to collect the Luminary there.
After leaving the Ghost Note, Didi will teach you how to dash, which allows you to smash weak wooden structures. Before following her down the alley, go to the right. Near the glowing phonograph, you'll see a fence you can smash with a Luminary behind it.
At the end of the street with the Ghost Note, touch the glowing phonograph to trigger a replay of Didi and Kat's bedtime conversation. Shift onto the wall and climb onto Didi's knees. Jump across to the top of her head and wait for Kat to leave. Once she does, jump over to the balcony to collect the Luminary there.
