If an iPhone is lost, the owner might need some help finding it again, even though Apple has built-in reliable ways to find missing devices. The trouble is that the iPhone might have been the only thing the person had with them to search for the misplaced phone. So unless the iPhone is close enough that saying 'Hey Siri' gets a response, a user will need another device to track it down.
Apple has various ways to find lost items, and it's not just Apple devices that are trackable now. The Find My network is a billion-strong worldwide collection of Apple device owners that can anonymously identify lost devices and objects. A few third-party devices have Find My tracking capability as well, including headphones, electric bicycles and more.
