The introduction of new content in Destiny 2 in its latest seasons have unfortunately meant the vaulting of older content, including quests, locations, and gear. So, with The Witch Queen launching soon that means that some areas from as recent as 2021 are beginning to face the sunsetting that has slowly been rotating activities and collectables out of the game.
One of the higher profile vaultings coming in this latest update is Destiny 2's H.E.L.M. location, which is home to a number of activities and quest lines that can lead to legendary gear. However, while items and locations are currently being shifted to make way for The Witch Queen, Bungie has made the decision to move one of these activities to a new location to give players a final chance to complete certain quests.
Destiny 2 Won't Make Any Eververse Changes With Witch Queen
With the H.E.L.M. going away, Bungie has moved the Override activity to the Last City, so that players can continue to access the gauntlet-style game mode without the original launching point. The activity will stay on the Last City until the end of Destiny 2's current Season of the Lost, leading up to the release of the larger Witch Queen expansion later in the week. This means that even without the H.E.L.M. the six-person activity can still be challenged for the remainder of Season of the Lost and plundered for all of its rewards.
Unfortunately, this move doesn't mean that Override will be returning when The Witch Queen tweaks the next season of Destiny 2 content for newly arriving activities and rewards. However, fans have known for some time that Override would be retiring at the end of Season of the Lost regardless of this last-minute move to the Last City. So, this will be the last time
