Sony has announced the dates for a beta test of its upcoming multiplayer shooter, Concord. The 5v5 first-person shooter will have not one but two phases to its beta, and you'll have access to both if you pre-order the game.
The open beta, which everyone will be able to play, takes place from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st July. However, if you pre-order any edition of Concord, you will be granted a total of five codes for the early access beta, allowing you and four pals to play from 12th to 14th July. Obviously, if you do place a pre-order, you'll be able to play across both betas.
Players on both PS5 and PC will be able to take part in the beta, which also features optional crossplay. As reported on the PS Blog, the beta test contains all 16 playable characters that'll be in the game at launch. You'll be able to sample them across four varied-looking maps, and a fifth will be added in the open beta. Similarly, there will be three game modes to try — Trophy Hunt, Cargo Run, and Clash Point — and the open beta will introduce one more, Area Control.
The beta will also offer you a look at the very beginning of Concord's story, which will expand on a weekly basis with new cinematics once the game launches on 23rd August.
