Funcom has marked Conan Exiles ’ fifth anniversary with a special stream today, along with announcements of free gifts, and a look at some community stats.
First, there's a video to celebrate the anniversary, starting with a peek at the moment of launch five years ago. There are a number of contributions from the community showing off some of what they’ve created in the game over these few years. Also features are some reflections onhow Conan Exiles has changed, particularly in the past year with the dawn of the Age of Sorcery and many overhauls that accompanied it.
The anniversary wishes and reflections continue, and include members of the team and some behind the scenes peeks at where things all come to life. The festivities continuedwith today’s special stream, where the team talked about player stats, got nostalgic about building, including stacking pillows and other ways to use the many building features in the game.
Those player stats were also shared in an infographic of some of what players have been up to over just the past year. Well, the top causes of player deaths sheds some light on things. Other players came in at number one, with over 2.8 million, while crocodiles slayed an impressive nearly 1.5 million. After this were hyenas taking the third spot (no pun intended) with a million, followed by thirst and hunger.
Hunger is important to stave off in a survival game, and the top foods eaten last year were handfuls of insects, bowls of gruel, and Highland berries.
There’s some cake to eat to celebrate in a much tastier way. A special anniversary bundle is in everyone's inventory, and contains a golden pickaxe, a cake, and cake sprays for your walls.
