The famed Hitman “World of Assasination” trilogy will be available on Xbox Game Pass from January 20, reveals IO Interactive. The company, in its twitter post, also revealed that it will be releasing Hitman 3 Year 2 season on the same date. However, the biggest news coming from IO Interactive’s official Twitter account is that the entire Hitman trilogy will be making its way to Xbox Game Pass as well as Steam.
The Hitman trilogy will be available on Steam for PCs for the first time ever and is sure to bring excitement for the PC gamers who have been long time fans of the franchise. Hitman 3 will also provide VR support as well as various other enhancements on PC, IO Interactive said.
The Hitman trilogy bundles together three games in the series including Hitman that released in 2016; Hitman 2 which first came out in 2018; and Hitman 3 released in 2021. While the first two editions are available on Xbox One and can be played on its X and S series through backward compatibility. Hitman 3 is available to play on the last-generation as well as the new-generation consoles.
The Hitman trilogy will also be released on Playstation 4 and 5 as well as Epic Game Store on January 20 as well. IO Interactive is also releasing Hitman VR, the game’s version which allows it to be played in virtual reality on PC on the same date.
IO Interactive announced on its official Twitter account a wide array of updates for Hitman 3 as a part of its Year 2 season. Some of the biggest reveals include ray tracing on PC, new targets, a roguelike ‘Freelancer mode’ as well as new maps.
