The MergeEarlier this week Blizzard put out a post outlining the future of cross faction gameplay. One of the biggest points that a lot of people are looking forward to is being able to do dungeons with people of the opposite faction. Alliance for many patches has had the most powerful racials for dungeons and these have been commonly seen play out in the MDI with how they work. Not only is this just an MDI phenomenon, but even live teams such as a team currently with Andy, Thaner, Speed, Wildi, and Ramfam all have gone alliance for this push week. With now new opportunities for more optimized racials in M+ today we are going to discuss some of the most potent racials and their potential uses come 9.2.5.
Night ElfIs probably the race that comes to mind whenever you think of how can you best optimize your character for M+. Shadowmeld is largely the reason that this is the case. Shadowmeld as a whole has been used in many ways to cheese mechanics, skip high amounts of trash, or even perform actions such as meld-rezzing somebody in combat with trash. The Cheese Cheesing targeted abilities, resetting bosses, and dealing with some mechanics in unintended ways will always be something Night Elf's Shadowmeld is phenomenal at doing. Some examples of abilities that you can easily meld off and not be able to deal with are Nalthor the Rimebinder's Dark Exile, Tirnenn Villager's Overgrowth, or Executor Tarvold's Castigate. The ability to remove or force a recast on these abilities is a huge deal and shadowmeld will always be valuable because of how flexible it is.
