Dying Light 2 launched last week and so far, reviews and reactions have been pretty mixed. The general consensus is that since a game that has zombies and tasks you with using parkour to run from them and traverse the game's world is almost definitely going to be pretty fun. It could be argued that the game gets too bogged down in the details though, which makes its numerous delays even more annoying as Techland could have launched a much simpler, and perhaps much better game long before now.
Nevertheless, Dying Light 2's launch has been a successful one. What's more, some people have been playing it so much that the game already has a very active speedrunning community. Players quickly started running and flipping their way through Stay Human's story in less than five hours, and in the video below you can see it completed from start to finish in well under four hours.

Pretty incredible for a game that has only been available for three days. That also means we are only just seeing the beginning of what Dying Light speedrunners are truly capable of. As was demonstrated through Metroid Dread and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl last year, the speedrunning records will only get more and more impressive.
By the end of February, someone will have probably raced through Stay Human's story in less than 60 minutes. Sounds impossible now, but so did finishing it in less than four hours before you watched the video above. This certainly isn't the sort of thing people probably expected to be reading about Dying Light 2 during its first week on the market. The biggest story during the build to its launch revolved around the 500 hours label Techland slapped on it.
