The latest update arrived to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 on May 24, and the patch notes mostly address bug fixes across all modes, including a tracking issue for mastery challenges for the Cronen Squall battle rifle. The update also adds a few restrictions for Warzone 2's Ranked Play mode.
According to the patch notes, the update fixes the tracking issue for mastery challenges for Season 3's Cronen Squall battle rifle, so players should be able to unlock all the camos now. Other general bug fixes include adjustments with navigation and flow of the battle pass, and it corrects an issue where Ranked Play wins were not tracking correctly on the gun screen cosmetics.

Warzone 2's Ranked Play was previously filled with players abusing smoke grenades and certain thermal optics, as the attachments weren't able to be countered by the Cold-Blooded perk. This new update works to address this with an entire list of thermal scopes being banned, which the developer states were being restricted due to them having too significant an impact on competitive play.

The patch notes also mention restrictions for the overpowered cluster mines and bomb drone killstreaks. These streaks will no longer be found in Ranked Play matches.
