Since Call of Duty: Warzone 2 was confirmed to be in development, we have not heard any more official news. Thanks to leaks, fans are learning more about what we could possibly expect in the next installment of the game. The latest leak details potential Modern Warfare 2 maps that could be points of interest in Warzone 2.
Reputable leaker and industry insider Tom Henderson claims that some Modern Warfare 2 maps will feature in Warzone 2. Reportedly, some fan-favorites from the franchise will make a return in multiplayer and in Warzone 2, where they are thought to be points of interest on the new map.
According to Henderson, the classic map Highrise is situated at the top right of the map under a point of interest called Modern City. Also, this area may have a lot of skyscrapers and tall buildings to explore. Towards the bottom right of the map is supposedly an airport, which is where the Terminal map is claimed to be. Moving on the left side, the Quarry is thought to be another point of interest. Finally, towards the middle of the map we might find Afghan under a point of interest named Caves.
Also, there could be other points of interest that feature returning Modern Warfare 2 maps, such as Mountain Town, which could include Favela. In total, Henderson has named 18 points of interest that he says are on the Warzone 2 map. Oasis, Observatory, Marshes, and Fishtown are just a few of the locations listed.
If you have been a fan of the Modern Warfare series for a long time, having these maps in a battle royale setting could provide a sense of nostalgia as well as a fresh feel.
