A new leak for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 suggests that four classic maps will be making a return. This news follows a recent leak from Tom Henderson that claimed the new Call of Duty will have a "DMZ" mode, wherein players can buy and trade cosmetics.
Warzone 2 is expected to release around the same time as Modern Warfare 2, repeating the partnership established in 2019/2020 with Modern Warfare and the original Warzone. While Warzone was more or less something entirely new for the franchise (a free-to-play battle royale reaching beyond the scope of Black Ops 4's Blackout BR), Modern Warfare was a remake of the massively successful 2007 game. As such, 2019's Modern Warfare was seen as a return to form for many fans, leaving behind perceived gimmicks and modernizing the core gameplay systems that made Call of Duty successful in the first place. Although fans have trolled Modern Warfare 2 for its confusing name, most who follow Call of Duty are excited for this new outing, hopeful that Infinity Ward will recapture some of the magic of the 2019 remake.

Reliable games journalist and leaker Tom Henderson recently wrote a report on eXputer that touches on a few leaked details regarding Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. The report primarily covers the map for Warzone 2, which is planned to be massive in scope, as many would expect. What many long-time Call of Duty fans will be excited about with this map, however, is that it will reportedly include four remastered maps from the original Modern Warfare 2: Highrise, Quarry, Terminal, and Afghan. These four maps will exist as separate zones on the larger Warzone 2 map.
