The wild new movie Cocaine Bear--which tells the story of a bear that eats cocaine and then kills people--arrives in theaters this weekend. But what might a sequel look like? The stars of the film have now shared their incredible ideas.
O'Shea Jackson Jr. told Variety that a sequel could focus on Cassowaries. «It's the most dangerous bird in the world!» the actor said, noting that the movie could take place in Australia where the birds are found.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, meanwhile, suggested a sequel could follow an Alligator who gets into some Adderall. Ferguson would call the movie, «Adderall Alligator.»
«It's a very excited alligator and it cleans things. A very efficient alligator,» the actor said.
Co-producer Christopher Miller said the bear from Cocaine Bear should survive and star in a sequel where it fights a shark. This movie could be called «Cocaine Bear v. Cocaine Shark,» Miller said. «They're in shallow water, like on a sandbar. I would watch that,» Miller said.
Other suggestions from the cast include «Cocaine Dolphin,» Cocaine Rats," and «Crystal Meth Puppies.»
All joking aside, Phil Lord, another co-producer, said there is in fact already a real sequel pitch for Cocaine Bear 2, «but I won't tell you what it is.»
Cocaine Bear hits theaters February 24. It's directed by Elizabeth Banks, who recently said she wants to see Paddington Bear snort some lines.
Authorities in New Zealand recently found 3.5 tons of cocaine floating in the ocean, and it spawned memes about «Cocaine Shark.» For what it's worth, Banks said she'd be up to make that movie--«Jaws with cocaine»--if they come up with a good enough story.
