The Walking Dead has been around for more than 10 years now, and it’s clear that the show isn’t going to die down anytime soon. The AMC series started in 2010 and is currently on its 11th and final season. Despite the show being on its last season, The Walking Dead universe will still have a lot to offer fans after its final few episodes are released.
The zombie-filled horror series is known for its stellar script and acting. The Walking Dead has earned a very good reputation over the years, especially for zombie lovers, or as the show calls them, “walkers.” Season 11 has been stretched out over the course of two long years and divided into three sections. Parts 1 and 2 have already played out since 2021, and the final Part 3 will begin airing on October 2nd of this year. This final stretch of episodes will provide a highly anticipated end to the show, but not an end to the franchise.

The Walking Dead franchise will continue to live on through various upcoming spinoff shows. The Tales of the Walking Dead spinoff is a six-episode anthology that will premiere on August 14th. Not much is known about the plot just yet, but the short series plans to combine the stories of new and old characters. Isle of the Dead is another spinoff on its way, set to premiere in 2023, along with two unnamed series centered around characters that Walking Dead audiences know and love. These aren’t the first spinoffs to grace the series, however. The first spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, was released in 2015 and is still ongoing.
