According to a new leak, classic PlayStation 4 exclusive horror game Until Dawn could be making its way to PC and PS5. Until Dawn was developed by Supermassive Games and first released in 2015. Mixing classic survival-horror gameplay with an interactive movie set-up, Until Dawn put a huge emphasis on player choice. Depending on one's actions, all the main characters could survive the ordeal, or they could get killed off in gruesome ways.
Until Dawn is really what put Supermassive Games on the map, establishing the studio as a premier horror dev and paving the way for the Dark Pictures anthology series, The Quarry, and Supermassive's other interactive movie projects. Until Dawn is often pointed to as one of the better horror games available on the PS4, and now it seems that the game will be getting a second lease on life.
Reliable leaker billbil-kun has claimed that Until Dawn is coming to PC and PS5. They were unable to verify if the game will be a remaster, remake, or a simple re-release. However, they expect that the Until Dawn PC and PS5 announcement will take place at some point within the next 15 days. They also think that there is a «good chance» this new version of Until Dawn will be featured at an upcoming PlayStation State of Play event. According to billbil-kun's sources, the Until Dawn PC/PS5 version has been in the works for at least a year.
Until Dawn isn't the only thing that is expected to be featured at the rumored PlayStation State of Play. The same leaker also recently touched on Death Stranding 2's title, claiming that the game will be subtitled On the Beach. Billbil-kun has predicted that both Death Stranding 2 and Until Dawn will likely be featured at the same PlayStation State of Play event, but fans should take the information with a grain of salt. While billbil-kun has a proven track record, the next PlayStation State of Play hasn't even been announced yet.
A possible PS5/PC port isn't the only thing Until Dawn fans have to be excited about.
