The original Deus Ex came out in 2000 and is due to celebrate its 22nd anniversary this week. Considered one of the best PC games of all time and an absolute must play RPG especially for fans of things like Mass Effect, the two-decade old title is one that many fans return to. At this point, it's fair to say that a lot of people know the game inside and out, but a new mod has just been updated that aims to make each playthrough feel brand new even to veteran fans.
As spotted by PC Gamer, user Die4Ever has just unleashed version 2.0 of what they simply title Deus Ex Randomizer. As the name suggests, this takes the vanilla experience of the game and randomizes numerous aspects to switch things up. An accompanying video demonstrates some of this randomness, which includes altering the player's starting position, mission objectives, objects, enemies, and it even randomizes some animations, making it possible for an enemy to dance for seemingly no reason. It even adds in support for the HX co-op mod.

The mod definitely seems like one to try, especially for those who are already familiar with the game. If nothing else, it will be amusing to see dancing enemies at random intervals. It's also nice to see fans still giving some love to this classic. Last year, someone injected some diversity into the game with a Deus Ex mod that turns protagonist JC Denton into a female character. The impressive thing about this add-on is that, as well as swapping out the character model, the creator also went to the trouble of re-voicing the lines to match the female protagonist.
