Captain America: Civil War saw most of the original Avengers along with some allies dividing into two teams over the Sokovia Accords, and during the battle, Rhodey was severely injured while being chased by Falcon, and this attack is a lot worse and more tragic than it seems. The first three phases in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, collectively known as the Infinity Saga, saw some of the biggest battles in this connected universe, and while most of them were between heroes and villains, there was one that saw the MCU heroes fighting against each other: the confrontation at Leipzig-Halle Airport in Captain America: Civil War.
Following the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, where the Avengers saved the world from destruction after Ultron (voiced by James Spader) decided that humans were the problem and so he lifted Sokovia with the purpose of crashing it into the ground to cause global extinction, public opinion was divided on whether superheroes were actually saviors or contributed to mass destruction and death. After the attack on the IFID Headquarters, also known as the Attack in Lagos, the Sokovia Accords were created by the United Nations with the purpose of controlling and regulating the activities of enhanced individuals and members of government agencies like S.H.I.E.L.D and private organizations like the Avengers. This divided the active MCU heroes into two sides: those who were in favor of the Accords (Team Iron Man) and those who were against them (Team Captain America).
